The Department of Geosciences and Earth and Environmental Systems Institute has an immediate opening for a full-time, non-tenure track, Fixed-Term Faculty position in Geochemistry. The successful candidate will specialize in a range of multidisciplinary research, including polar tropospheric halogens, environmental contamination in urban areas from heavy metals, volatile organic compounds and other toxic substances, and Mars atmospheric chemistry. This is a fixed-term multiyear position, funded for three years from the date of hire, with good possibility of refunding, and will incorporate teaching, research, and service. The successful candidate will show evidence of previous teaching, research, and outreach to students or the public. A Ph.D. in geochemistry or closely related field is required by the date of hire. The position will be filled at the rank of assistant research professor or associate research professor based upon qualifications.
