Faculty Position in Global Public Health

New York University Social Science Shanghai

United States

NYU Shanghai is currently inviting applications for 1-2 tenure-track positions in Global Public Health, at the Assistant Professor level.

Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to NYU New York and other U.S. institutions with respect to research start-up funds and compensation, and they include housing subsidies and educational subsidies for children. Faculty may in certain cases have the opportunity to spend time at NYU New York and other sites of the NYU Global Network, engaging in both research and teaching.

We particularly seek applications from candidates who completed a doctorate in public health, epidemiology, or relevant fields who focus on the conduct of interventions, mixed methods, community-based participatory research, and m-health, to improve population health. The particular area of emphasis is open, but ideal candidates will complement existing research strengths in occupational health, non-communicable diseases (including mental health), multimorbidities, and sexual and reproductive health. Candidates who utilize digital health technologies and scalable approaches to improve population health and wellbeing are particularly desirable.

Shanghai is a dynamic urban environment, and as such, candidates with an active research program in China and/or Shanghai or the Western Pacific region, are also desirable. Candidates with teaching experience at the undergraduate level are especially encouraged to apply.

Application Instructions

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of research and teaching interests, and electronic copies of up to three relevant publications or writing samples.
