Candidates with a background and commitment to equity and improving opportunity and outcomes for historically underserved groups are especially desired. The successful candidate will have experience designing and conducting mixed methodological research in the social sciences.  We seek individuals who have a broad and critical understanding of inquiry methodologies appropriate for interdisciplinary contexts.  We particularly seek candidates with a demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in diverse urban communities, particularly those that have been historically marginalized.

The mission of the USC Rossier School of Education is to prepare leaders to achieve educational equity through practice, research and policy. We work to improve learning opportunities and outcomes in urban settings and to address disparities that affect historically marginalized groups. We teach our students to value and respect the cultural context of the communities in which they work and to interrogate the systems of power that shape policies and practices. Through innovative thinking and research, we strive to solve the most intractable educational problems.

The position is an instructional, non-tenure track faculty appointments in the Rossier School of Education. The position is a 12-month renewable appointment.

Non-tenure track faculty in the Rossier School have a profile of 80% teaching (24 academic units) and a 20% service expectation including some combination of, but not limited to, curriculum development, course oversight, recruitment and admissions activities, and participation on school and university committees. 

The Doctor of Education in Organizational Change and Leadership online (OCL online) from USC Rossier is an Ed.D. program for those eager to drive change across different kinds of workplaces: private firms, nonprofits, government organizations or higher education.
