Position: Full Professor, newly established Kemmy Professorship of Economics
Purpose:
Lead the Department of Economics’ growth and research agenda
Contribute to national and European-level initiatives in economics
Shape teaching and curriculum development across undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive levels
Build partnerships with industry, government, and international collaborators
Research:
Established record of high-quality scholarship in economics
Ability to lead major research initiatives and mentor early-career researchers
Teaching:
Contribute to high-quality teaching at all levels
Develop new programmes aligned with societal and economic needs
Leadership:
Provide strategic vision and foster a collaborative, ambitious research culture
Expand external partnerships and influence policy-relevant economic research
Attributes:
Collegial and collaborative, with creativity, curiosity, and commitment to excellence
Lead research initiatives within the Department and School
Mentor and support early-career academics
Develop new programmes and curricula reflecting changing economic and societal demands
