Job Description
The Department of Arabic Language and Literature announces an opening for a faculty member to fill a lecturer position in Islamic Studies, according to the following requirements: Qualifications and Experience: A PhD in Islamic Studies or a related field from a recognized university. Fluency in English, enabling the effective teaching of courses in English. Ability to teach courses on the Prophet's biography, Islamic culture, and Emirati studies in both Arabic and English. Proven experience in university teaching at recognized universities with strong academic reputations. Familiarity with modern teaching and assessment strategies, and the application of active and student-centered learning methods. Proficiency in utilizing modern digital technologies and platforms in university education. Excellent communication and academic advising skills, and the ability to provide an interactive and stimulating learning environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and actively participate in academic and administrative activities and community service. Job Duties: Teaching courses as determined by the department in both Arabic and English. Preparing and developing course materials and syllabi in accordance with learning outcomes and quality and academic accreditation requirements. Evaluating student performance and providing appropriate feedback and academic advising. Utilizing modern educational technologies in content design and the delivery of lectures and classroom activities. Participating in committee work and scientific, cultural, and community activities within the department and college. Minimum Qualification
A minimum of a Master's degree in Islamic Studies or a related field from a recognized university is required, with preference given to those holding a PhD. A proven track record of effective communication and academic advising of students. The ability to actively contribute to committee work, academic activities, and community service.
