Job Description
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a full-time Instructor in Management position in the Department of Management, College of Business and Economics (CBE). The CBE has been accredited by AACSB International since 2000. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate: • A strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level and the use of effective pedagogical approaches that emphasize practical application. • The ability to teach introductory and intermediate courses in Management, including Fundamentals of Management, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and other related courses. • Relevant professional and industry experience that can contribute to the practical orientation of teaching and enhance students' understanding of management practice. • A willingness to contribute actively to student advising, course coordination, assessment activities, and service to the Department, College, and University. English is the language of instruction and communication within the College of Business and Economics. The application package should include: 1. A cover letter; 2. A detailed curriculum vitae; 3. Minimum Qualification
Applicants must have: • A Master's or doctoral degree in Management, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, Business Administration, or a closely related field from a recognized and reputable university; • Relevant professional and/or industry experience; • Prior university-level teaching experience; • The ability to teach courses such as Fundamentals of Management, Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and related subjects; and • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and a demonstrated commitment to high-quality teaching.
Preferred Qualification
Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate: • Substantial professional or industry experience relevant to management; • A strong record of effective university teaching; • Experience teaching a range of Management and HRM courses; • Evidence of research, scholarly activity, professional publications, or participation in academic and professional conferences; and • Experience with innovative teaching methods, applied learning, and the effective use of technology in teaching.
Excpected Skills
Appointment will be made at the rank of Instructor, commensurate with the candidate's academic qualifications and professional and teaching experience. The successful candidate is expected to provide high-quality teaching, contribute to course coordination and curriculum delivery, advise students, participate in assessment and accreditation-related activities, and provide service to the Department, College, University, and professional community.
