P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School (DRS) is a public school established in 1934 with the mission to design, test, and disseminate innovations in K-12 education through serving a student population representative of Florida’s economic, racial, gender, and academic diversity. P.K. Yonge seeks to attract faculty that reflect the diversity of our student population. Affiliated with the College of Education at the University of Florida, P.K. Yonge faculty may partner with members of the college to develop, and test solutions grounded in our shared values of inclusivity, accessibility, equity, and student agency while educating the approximately 1150 students on campus.

P.K. Yonge boasts a small community-like atmosphere that fosters deep and impactful relationships with students and families over many years. Faculty work closely in a collaborative environment that cultivates open discussion about contemporary and enduring issues faced by schools today. As practitioner-researchers, P.K. Yonge faculty are constantly working to bridge theory and practice. To ensure the success of P.K. Yonge's mission, we seek and support faculty who find research and investigation inspiring, who value the opportunity to reach outside the campus boundary, and who are open to sharing outcomes on a broader scale.

P.K. Yonge faculty enjoy generous professional autonomy. There are numerous opportunities for growth and professional development. Faculty are fully supported to explore and learn within their areas; encouraged to present and attend professional conferences; and inspired to refine and improve their current practices.

As an employee of the University of Florida, faculty have the opportunity and support for participating in the university promotion process resulting in higher rank and increased salary. Additionally, P.K. Yonge faculty are afforded all UF benefits including the UF tuition assistance program to pursue advanced degrees at the University of Florida at little cost.
