Position Description

The Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time faculty member in Endodontics at the Instructor level. The Department includes the specialties of Prosthodontics, Operative Dentistry, Implant Dentistry and Endodontics and offers a unique interdisciplinary environment for teaching, research, and clinical activity. The successful candidates will be expected to contribute to the didactic education of predoctoral and postdoctoral students, serve as a clinical attending to predoctoral and postdoctoral students, and may have the opportunity to engage in clinical practice with either the Faculty Group Practice of the Harvard Center or at an HSDM-affiliated institution and/or engage in research and scholarly activities. Specifically, participation in the postdoctoral endodontic seminars including literature reviews and case seminars is expected. Candidates will be expected to provide high-level evidence based clinical instruction to students. The selected individual is expected to work cooperatively in a team environment and contribute meaningfully to the goal by providing biologically sound evidence based endodontic treatment

Basic Qualifications
Candidates must possess a DMD or DDS degree or equivalent from an accredited dental school and be eligible for dental licensure in Massachusetts. Advanced graduate training in endodontics is required. Candidates must also have experience in classroom and clinical instruction.

Additional Qualifications
Excellent clinical skills to practice productively are a plus.
