The Department of Teaching, Learning, and Leadership is seeking candidates for a full time, benefit eligible, nine month Instructor starting Fall 2019. This position is 100% instructional.


SDSU is especially interested in candidates that can contribute to and/or coordinate course offerings that address the experiences of underrepresented minorities in organizations. Women, minorities, veterans, and people with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply.


- Teach high quality undergraduate courses.
- Advise undergraduate students.
- Provide service on departmental, college, and university committees and to the community.


- Master’s degree in the area of Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, or related discipline completed by August 2019. 
- Demonstrated teaching skills including Special Education.
- Effective verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work collaboratively.
- Commitment to equality and diversity.


- Demonstrated ability and interest in teaching online/classroom/hybrid courses. 
- Demonstrated ability to prepare undergraduate students to be educators. 
- Demonstrated commitment to work in interdisciplinary and inclusive settings.
- Demonstrated commitment for collaboration with minority groups in the state of South Dakota.
