 About the Role 

The Language Centre within the School of Languages, Linguistics and Film (SLLF) is looking to appoint a suitably qualified Lecturer and Coordinator of Foundation Programmes to manage and coordinate the Foundation Programmes.

You will lead the Foundation and Pre-Masters programmes; contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching, making innovations in key aspects of teaching, learning and curriculum design; develop scholarship, publishing the outcomes of pedagogical work in appropriate outlets; and contribute to administration, including the development of a marketing strategy in conjunction with the Global Engagement Office. You will ensure that integrated programmes work smoothly and are expanded in liaison with receiving schools. You will take responsibility for quality assurance, ensuring that British Council and professional accreditation standards are met. You will contribute to the successful exploitation of partnerships with other HEIs, government bodies or industry for the benefit of students and education.

About You 

You will hold a PhD in English Language Teaching (ELT), Applied Linguistics or a related subject, or a relevant professional qualification or equivalent professional experience, together with the ability to deliver teaching and assessment at pre-undergraduate and/or undergraduate levels. The ability to work constructively and flexibly with colleagues, and good organisational and communicative skills, are also essential.

The post is full time, permanent appointment with an expected start date of 1 August 2022. The starting salary will be Grade 6, £48,035 - £50,747 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
