What are you going to do?

You teach Business English in the first year of the Marketing specialization. This includes contemporary professional communication skills in English. Topics from marketing and other economic sectors are covered with associated case studies, professional vocabulary and idiomatic expressions, communication skills (setting agreements, negotiating, etc.) and grammar. You respond to the strong digitization of marketing communication and the importance of promotional writing (content creation, copywriting, blogging, vlogging, etc.).

The total range of duties of a teacher is very diverse .

You give and develop challenging, inspiring and future-oriented education. You assess students and guide and coach them in their learning process and possibly also during internships and bachelor's theses. You integrate modern educational techniques and resources into your approach and look for solutions to deal with diversity within student groups in a result-oriented way. You think along about new (subject) content, work forms, learning lines, ... You like to put your shoulders under the course and your course by taking part in course councils, departmental consultations, open days, registering, etc. You maintain a network with colleagues and companies as food for your teaching assignment. You not only stimulate the student to develop, but you also work on your own professionalization, both substantively and pedagogically-didactically.

For both assignments you are part of the enthusiastic and motivated training team 'Marketing' that focuses on training students to become digital marketers, content marketers, sales managers, brand managers and so much more. You work on our Groenplaats campus and report to the Marketing head.

Your profile?

  • Your drive and affinity with marketing, that's why we want to work with you so much.
  • You can write promotional (online and offline). In addition, if you are creative with language and know how to touch people, that is a great asset.
  • You work smoothly with digital and social media. Within the specialization Marketing, we want to introduce digital marketing in all its aspects into our language courses.
  • We expect a lot from our students and teachers and therefore also from you. Not only in your expertise, but also in collaboration with your team. Every day you are ready to translate your expertise into educational practice in a creative, tailor-made way. Your practical approach makes students enthusiastic and gives them guidance.
  • You are a strong proponent of linking a language course to other courses and authentic cases so that it becomes an integrated story.
  • You get energy from teaching and coaching and you can empathize with the environment of our students.
  • New visions on learning such as high impact learning inspire you.
  • You are of course an expert in the English field. You have a master's degree in linguistics and literature (option English). A pedagogical diploma is a plus.
