UCC seeks a Lecturer in Archaeology with a specialist interest in Western European prehistory (Mesolithic, Neolithic, or Bronze Age). The appointee will:
Deliver foundation and advanced courses on Irish and European prehistory
Support fieldwork and work placements in the curriculum
Contribute to research supervision at master’s and doctoral level
Participate in research and academic life of the Department, School, and University
Applicants must hold a doctoral qualification in Archaeology and have post-doctoral research experience with a strong record of peer-reviewed publications.
Doctoral qualification in Archaeology from a recognized university at the time of application
Post-doctoral research experience
Teaching experience in Archaeology
Garda vetting and/or international police clearance may be required
Academic record and research outputs in Western European prehistory
Teaching experience and ability to develop fieldwork programs
Contribution to research supervision and academic life
Lecturer (Below the Bar) Salary Scale: €42,102 - €72,452 (Scale B) / €44,169 - €68,942 (Scale A)
