The Department of Biology solicits applications for one full-time Lecturer position. The department is particularly interested in applicants with the ability to teach courses in:
Introductory Biology (lecture and laboratory)
Physiology
Cell and Molecular Biology
Genetics
Note: Teaching is expected to be in-person, unless assigned to a course for which the approved modality was online since student registration opened.
Teach undergraduate courses in Biology
Provide a minimum of three hours per week of office hours per course to meet with students
In-person, face-to-face teaching is an essential function and requirement of this position
Ph.D. in Biology or related discipline relevant to the course being taught
Thorough knowledge of the relevant sub-field and competence in the general area of Biology
One year of college-level teaching experience is preferred
Appointment contingent upon student demand (enrollments) and available funding
