Applications are invited for a limited term position as Lecturer in the area of Clinical Anatomy within the Division of BioMedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland, St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This is a 2-term position commencing January 1, 2020 for the winter term and September 1, 2020 for the fall term.

 

The successful applicant will be expected to teach in the medical education curriculum, particularly in the area of clinical anatomy at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Human cadaveric teaching experience is essential. Applicants are required to have a MD or PhD or equivalent, and documented evidence of teaching competence in human gross anatomy. Previous experience with educational technology in the classroom and laboratory is an asset. The successful applicant will have access to the Faculty of Medicine’s state-of-the art Anatomage table for 3D rendering of 4 cadavers (the only one in Atlantic Canada), 10 Sonosite ultrasound machines for point of care ultrasound training and teaching, 4 Downdraft tables for dissections and wet specimens, plus embalming table.
