University College Cork (UCC) seeks to appoint a Lecturer (Above the Bar) in Business Information Systems (BIS). The school is:

The role involves teaching and research in BIS, with particular interest in Generative AI (Gen AI) and its implications for business across industries. The successful candidate will contribute to the school’s research initiatives, including UCC Futures: Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics and the strategic research centre on the Future of Work and Economies.
Conduct high-quality research in Business Information Systems, preferably in journals of international standing (3- and 4-star ranked journals by the Chartered Association of Business Schools preferred)
Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
Contribute to the school’s research and strategic initiatives in AI, data analytics, and future-of-work studies
Engage in academic service and collaboration within UCC
PhD in a relevant discipline
Track record of research publications in international journals
Teaching experience and potential in BIS or related areas
Interest in Generative AI and its business applications
Ability to contribute to research centres and interdisciplinary initiatives
Additional Requirements:
Garda vetting or international police clearance may be required

Lecturer (Above the Bar): €79,185 – €102,549 (Scale B) / €75,338 – €97,420 (Scale A)
