The Department of Literature is an interdisciplinary unit that congregates scholars of different disciplines, literary critics, and writers dedicated to the study of world literatures and cultures. From its beginning, the Literature Department at UCSD has promoted the study of world literatures within a commitment to the multilingual historical analysis of the connections between cultures.
Salary is based on the University of California salary scales.
Authorization to work in the US must be provided at the start of the appointment.

• Extensive experience as a language instructor, including TA, and the ability of teaching Greek and Latin at all levels.
• Capability to design and develop language and content-based courses with existing faculty members. Preferred experience in the research of teaching and learning of ancient languages.
