The Institute of Psychology of the University of Bern is looking to hire a Lecturer / Tenure Track Assistant Lecturer (50%) in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. The Department of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology (Prof. Dr. Stefanie Schmidt) of the University of Bern is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of mental disorders in children and adolescents. The overall research topics are: early detection and intervention; effects of social media usage on mental health and application of digital tools for psychotherapy; personalized psychotherapy through the identification of mechanisms of change and developmental peculiarities in the diagnostic and therapeutic process.

Tasks
 
The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching and research in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology and will complement the team by own research interests and activities. Tasks of this position are:
  • Teaching courses (approx. two per semester) in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology at Bachelor and Master level
  • Conduct independent research in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology incl. applying for third-party funding
  • Supervision of Bachelor- and Master-students, and possibly PhD-students
  • Contribute to self-administration
Your Profile
  • Master in Psychology, preferably in Clinical Psychology
  • PhD in Clinical Psychology, preferably with specialization in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology
  • Experience in teaching with very good evaluations
  • Excellent research within the context of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology
  • A Postgraduate Psychotherapy Training for children and adolescents is an advantage
