Position description

The Department of Urban Planning and Public Policy has an opening for a lecturer during the 2021-22 academic year for the following course:

UPPP 283: Collaborative Governance – This course aims to introduce students to the study of collaborative governance – the process by which public managers negotiate with material scarcity and organizational, conceptual, and ideological boundaries to deliver public services. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in teaching key concepts in theories of organizations and public policy; applying these concepts to real-world cases; and who can develop public management tools for collaboration. We expect the course to be taught Fall quarter 2021.

Required: M.A. or M.S. (Ph.D. strongly preferred) in a field appropriate to the course e.g., public policy, public administration, political science, sociology. Experience teaching policy and/or administrative courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.
