Position Overview

The Department of Dance at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers University, seeks candidates for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) positions in Dance and Dance Education.

The department is looking for performers with dance teaching experience to support undergraduate and graduate programs. The PTL will teach courses in:

  • Ballet
  • Modern
  • Improvisation
  • Repertory
  • Choreography pedagogy
  • Other dance theory courses for multiple dance forms

Minimum Qualifications

  • Teaching experience in higher education
  • Strong pedagogical, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree or professional experience in dance

Salary & Benefits

Salary:

  • Minimum $2,777 per credit
  • Final salary depends on qualifications, experience, expertise, availability of departmental or grant funds, market benchmarks, and internal equity
