Position: The Department of Integrative Biology and Physiology at UCLA is looking for a part-time instructor to teach Physiological Science 121 – Disease Mechanisms and Therapies during the 2020-2021 academic year. Percentage of employment will vary according to number of times the course is taught. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and pool will remain active for one year. Screening of applications will take place as soon as the position becomes available and continue until the position is filled.

Duties: Teach online course: PHYSCI 121. Plan and coordinate discussion activities for multiple sections of course; supervise course teaching assistant(s); manage the acquisition and maintenance of course materials; develop computer applications for the classroom; supervise student projects; and maintain office hours.

Qualifications: Demonstrated experience in undergraduate teaching at the university level; experience with laboratory instruction in the biological sciences. Level of appointment and salary commensurate with qualifications, experience, and duties.
