Monash University has an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer - Educational Psychology and Counselling to join our internationally recognised team. As a Lecturer, you will play a key role in shaping the future of counselling through proven teaching in counselling theories, applications and interventions within educational psychology and counselling fields. 

Reporting to the Head of School, your responsibilities will include; preparation, development and delivery of course material, supervision of postgraduate students and their respective research projects, conduct, publish and apply for research income in the field of educational psychology and counselling and the engagement with relevant departmental and/or faculty meetings. 

As the successful candidate, you will have: 

  • A Doctoral or Masters qualification in the relevant discipline area or equivalent accreditation and standing

  • General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia or equivalent 

  • Strong track record of teaching experience and demonstrated experience in achieving improved learning outcomes over sustained periods

  • Proven experience in delivery of community-based counselling and psychological interventions

  • Demonstrated research and manuscript preparation skills; including an established and relevant research base to draw upon 

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated
