Position Overview

The Department seeks a lecturer specializing in teaching Portuguese as a foreign language to bachelor’s (A1–B1) and master’s (B2–C1) students. The role includes teaching, supervision of theses, administrative duties, and participation in departmental activities.

Main Responsibilities

Pedagogical:

Teach practical language subjects (grammar, vocabulary, writing) for bachelor’s students.
Supervise and review bachelor’s theses.
Participate in organizational management of educational activities.

Research:

Independent publishing in teaching Portuguese as a foreign language is an advantage, but not required.

Administrative/Other:

Routine administrative tasks (e-learning, student communication).
Participate in promoting the field and its study at FFMU.

Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in Portuguese Language and Literature or Teaching Portuguese to Foreigners (required).
Native Portuguese speaker (required).
English language skills at B2 level (required).
Knowledge of another Romance language (advantage).
Experience teaching Portuguese at the university level (advantage).
Basic computer skills, modern teaching tools, organizational and interpersonal skills.
