Position Overview

The Department seeks a lecturer specializing in teaching Portuguese as a foreign language to bachelor’s (A1–B1) and master’s (B2–C1) students. The role includes teaching, supervision of theses, administrative duties, and participation in departmental activities.


Main Responsibilities

Pedagogical:

  • Teach practical language subjects (grammar, vocabulary, writing) for bachelor’s students.
  • Supervise and review bachelor’s theses.
  • Participate in organizational management of educational activities.

Research:

  • Independent publishing in teaching Portuguese as a foreign language is an advantage, but not required.

Administrative/Other:

  • Routine administrative tasks (e-learning, student communication).
  • Participate in promoting the field and its study at FFMU.

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Portuguese Language and Literature or Teaching Portuguese to Foreigners (required).
  • Native Portuguese speaker (required).
  • English language skills at B2 level (required).
  • Knowledge of another Romance language (advantage).
  • Experience teaching Portuguese at the university level (advantage).
  • Basic computer skills, modern teaching tools, organizational and interpersonal skills.
