USC Gould School of Law is seeking an instructor to develop curriculum for and teach our new online Digital Media Transactions class. The instructor will begin work in June 2021 with our partner provider’s team of instructional designers to create curriculum in our unique, interactive online environment during the course development period, from June to December 2021. We expect that the instructor will spend approximately 10-15 hours of work per week on curriculum development.

The instructor will then teach the course during the Spring 2022 semester, from January to April 2022. We expect that the instructor will spend approximately 10-15 hours of work per week on instruction of the course, including the timely grading of assignments and communication with students.

Students enrolled in this course will be in our Online LL.M., Online M.S.L., and various of our Online Certificate programs. Courses will be developed and taught fully online; lecturers may work from any location. Candidates should have strong professional background in the field, preferably with law school and/or online teaching experience.

Digital Media Transactions (2 units) - The course will focus on the business, legal, and financial issues that relate to the creation, financing, and exploitation of digital media, including TV, shorts, mobile, virtual reality, influencers, and merchandising. In addition, the business, corporate, structuring, and tax issues (as opposed to intellectual property issues) will be explored.
