IU Kokomo invites applications for a full-time Visiting Lecturer in Mathematics for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Primary Responsibilities:
Teaching four courses per semester (12 credit hours) in face-to-face or online formats.
Courses may include foundational, general education, and gateway mathematics courses such as College Algebra and Finite Mathematics.
Contribute to student learning with evidence-based teaching strategies and active learning methods.
Additional Notes:
IU Kokomo is a non-residential campus serving ~3,000 students.
Campus located ~50 miles north of Indianapolis.
Emphasis on student success and supporting faculty and staff development.
Required:
Earned M.A., M.S., M.A.T. (with ≥18 graduate credits in mathematics), or Ph.D. in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field by August 1, 2026.
Demonstrated effective instruction and commitment to student learning (evidence could include active learning techniques, assessment use, professional development, peer teaching reviews).
Preferred:
Experience teaching college algebra.
Experience teaching online courses.
