Designed for highly motivated clinical academics seeking to advance both clinical and academic careers in Renal Medicine.
Academic training at Hull York Medical School is combined with clinical duties in NHS England North East and Yorkshire.
The post provides a platform for research development, with a view to competitive research fellowships, senior lectureships, and global academic collaborations.
Flexible training/job-share options are available where eligible.
Undertake academic research and medical education activities within Renal Medicine.
Maintain 50% clinical duties in NHS England.
Collaborate with the Training Programme Director and Academic Lead to align research and clinical training.
Contribute to academic output through publications, presentations, and teaching activities.
Must hold a higher research degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent); thesis submitted at time of application.
Current National Training Number (NTN) in specialty, or eligible for clinical benchmarking.
Clinically: either specialist or specialty registrar in Renal Medicine.
Able to commence appointment before 31 August 2027.
