Description
The Departments of Medicine at St. Michael's Hospital and University of Toronto are seeking a qualified full-time academic neurologist with clinical expertise in multiple sclerosis (MS) and related neuroinflammatory disorders.
The successful candidate must be eligible for a full-time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer or Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor at the University of Toronto, with an academic position description of Clinician Teacher, Clinician Educator, or Clinician Investigator. The expected start date is in the second half of 2026.
Qualifications:
-
MD degree
-
Certification in Neurology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (or eligibility)
-
Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
-
Fellowship training in multiple sclerosis (MS)
-
Graduate degree or other advanced training relevant to specialization
-
Demonstrated scholarship in clinical, teaching, or research areas (see Table 2: Clinical Faculty Academic Appointments)
Responsibilities:
-
Support large patient demands in the MS program at St. Michael’s Hospital
-
Participate in MS educational activities, including supervision of fellowship trainees
-
Collaborate in clinical research programs and quality improvement programs
-
Participate in the neurology inpatient ward, consultation services, and on-call coverage
-
Report to the Head, Division of Neurology, St. Michael’s Hospital
-
Clinic work in the Barlo MS clinic under the direction of the clinic’s Medical Director
