The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank who have training and experience in the fields of psychiatry and internal medicine.
Responsibilities:
Inpatient, consultation-liaison, and outpatient care providing psychiatric assessment, treatment, and consultation services for patients and their families
Diagnosis and treatment of patients’ primary care and internal medicine clinical needs
Teaching and supervision of trainees and students
Scholarly activity
Special Focus:
Expansion of the residency training program to include education and training of Internal Medicine and Psychiatry residents to enhance collaborative opportunities between physical health and holistic health
Academic rank and compensation:
Dependent upon qualifications, including a generous package of fringe benefits
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must:
Have a medical doctorate or equivalent
Hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois
Have completed residency training in Adult Psychiatry and Internal Medicine
Be Board certified or eligible with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)
Preferred Experience:
Being an integral part of a multidisciplinary care team
Contributing to the growth and development of Internal Medicine-Psychiatry joint residency training programs at academic medical centers
