Specific Purpose Whole-time Post

UCC wishes to appoint an experienced academic to the above role in the Department of Sociology and Criminology. Reporting to the Head of Department, the Department of Sociology and Criminology seeks applicants who, can contribute to teaching in the Sociology of Gender, Migration and Ethnicity, Feminist Social Theory and/or Creative Methodologies, as well as contributing to teaching which supports and expands existing specialisations within the Department. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching and research supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and undertake research and publication that will enhance the University’s international profile.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer Below the Bar Salary Scale: €38,662 - €67,426 (Scale B) / €40,689 – €64,159 (Scale A
Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
