Duties and responsibilities
  • Teaching at all levels of higher education, using modern teaching methods and educational technology.
  • Creating study and teaching aids as well as being engaged in other curriculum development work, including supervising students at all levels of higher education and student traineeships outside the university, participating in the work of admissions and theses defence committees.
  • Professional development, including to enhance teaching and supervising skills.
  • Lecturers are required to engage in research work related to their field. During 5 years, a lecturer shall carry out research in the volume equivalent to at least 2/3 of a PhD thesis.
  • Lecturers are expected to participate in administrative activities and popularise their specialisation.
Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification.
Required experience
  • Teaching experience in higher education institution at all levels of higher education.
  • Lecturing and conducting seminars on BA level about the Russian literature of the New Age and Romanticism, on MA level about Russian poetics and the Didactics of Russian Literature; conducting special seminars for doctoral students; supervising and reviewing BA, MA and PhD thesis on Russian literature.
  • Participation in conferences; research, publishing and administrative activities.
  • Knowing web-based learning methodology.
Required language skills
Excellent command of Russian, very good command of Estonian.

Starting at
1600 euros (gross) per month.
