The College of Education (College) delivers teaching and research in education, foundation programs and academic language and literacy. Our foundation programs provide students with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed at university, and our teacher education programs enable students to specialise in early childhood, primary and secondary education and training. Education graduates teach in childcare facilities, pre-schools, and primary, middle and high schools. The College is committed to providing access to programs throughout the community, and to developing learning and teaching capabilities for the region, particularly for Indigenous communities and remote regions. Our research and consultancy has a strong scholarly base informed by international practice. 

The College is seeking a high-quality Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Education to build the teaching profile, research capabilities and professional practice of the College in early learning settings or primary or secondary education or a combination of these. These positions will be involved in the development and teaching of units (courses), utilising both on-campus and flexible-mode of teaching and learning support, and to engage in scholarly work that informs teaching and learning in diverse educational contexts. The successful applicants will have:

• Vision and innovation presented through teaching, learning and research to the Northern Territory, national and international educational contexts.
• Capacity to deliver across the Australian Curriculum learning areas

The college are currently looking for strength in the following teaching areas:
• Science 
• Humanities and social sciences
• Professional experience
• Early learning 

To apply for the position, you must hold a nationally recognised teaching qualification with eligibility for teacher registration in the NT and a doctoral level qualification (or substantial progress to completion) in Education or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
