About This Opportunity

The successful applicants will contribute meaningfully to the emerging interdisciplinary expertise in Cyber Security at UQ in both teaching and research, joining a multi-faculty initiative to address global information security challenges and to educate top cyber security leaders.

In the research space, these positions are flexible providing applicants’ research has some relevance to leadership and/or governance within the information security context. The successful applicants will either report into the Management or Business Information Systems disciplines within UQ Business School.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Bounded by the Brisbane River on three sides, and with outstanding public transport connections, our 114-hectare site provides a perfect work environment – you can enjoy the best of both worlds: a vibrant campus with the tradition of an established university.


Our Ideal Candidate

You'll have a PhD (or can have a PhD in submission when applying at Level B) in a relevant discipline. Your program of research will be evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed leading journals. At Level B (Lecturer), applicants will have research recognised at a national level, and Level C (Senior Lecturer) applicants will have an established international profile. Your teaching track record will be at a high level, evidenced by teaching performance metrics. You'll be committed to service and engagement at a School, Faculty and University-wide level.

What We Can Offer

This is a full-time, continuing position at Academic Level B or C.

For a Level B, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $95,771 - $113,728, plus super of up to 17%.

For a Level C, the full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $117,319 - $135,276, plus super of up to 17%.
