Teaching will be in Dutch and English. You will give lectures and supervise work groups in several courses that reflect your expertise. You should be an inspiring, motivating and conscientious supervisor of BA and MA theses. • A university teaching qualification (BKO or equivalent), or the willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience with teaching in Dutch and English at the Bachelor's and Master's levels.
  • An interest in topics in applied developmental psychology or child and adolescent clinical psychology. Clinical experience or clinical registration (BAPD, GZ) is an advantage.
  • A team player with good social, communication and organisational skills.
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English (C1 level).
  • An excellent command of written and spoken Dutch.

We are

The School of Psychology and Artificial Intelligence offers excellent degree programmes and has currently approximately 1,800 students. The Bachelor's programme is provided by excellent teachers and has an annual influx of about 450 international students. The Master's degree in Psychology has three specialisations that prepare students for an academic or professional career: Health Care Psychology; Work, Organisation and Health; and Behaviour Change. The School of Psychology offers two Research Master's programmes: Behavioural Science (in collaboration with the  Behavioural Science Institute) and Cognitive Neuroscience (in collaboration with the Donders Institute for Cognition, Brain and Behaviour).

The Behavioural Science Institute (BSI) is a multidisciplinary research institute. Our researchers collaborate across the boundaries of psychology, educational science, and communication science. BSI has seven research programmes covering three major research themes: 1) development and learning, 2) psychopathology, health and well-being, and 3) social processes and communication. BSI conducts fundamental research as well as applied/translational research.

The Social Development programme conducts fundamental and applied research on social development and related processes from childhood to young adulthood. We aim to contribute new knowledge to developmental science and promote positive development in clinical and educational settings. Working with both typical and atypical populations, we study caregiver-child interaction, peer relationships, how social aspects of development interact with cognitive and neural ones, and the evolution of developmental mechanisms. We combine traditional longitudinal and observational research with the evolutionary perspective and methods from psychobiology and neuroscience. These include sequential analysis, psychophysiology and hormonal assessments, neuropsychological paradigms, fMRI, adaptations to harsh environments, sociometric methods, and longitudinal data analysis. The developmental psychology programme participates in the School of Psychology and Artificial Intelligence for its teaching mission and the Behavioural Science Institute for its research mission.
