Position

The applicant will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing marketing strategies, plans, policies, procedures, and frameworks and ensure optimal delivery across its related functions: events, marketing, branding, and web.

Job Role Description:

  • Develop, manage, and deliver the HBKU marketing strategy in line with the HBKU communications strategy and the overall University’s strategy.
  • Manage and oversee the HBKU marketing functions including corporate marketing, enrolment marketing, business marketing, branding, events, and web development.
  • Develop the department’s related guidelines, procedures, and frameworks.
  • Develop a marketing annual business plan and budget and monitor and approve expenditures.
  • Provide marketing support for all HBKU entities including campaign design and development and guidance on events and conferences.
  • Develop and maintain HBKU’s branding strategy, brand identity and corporate messaging.
  • Provide guidance to articulate the key objectives, key messages and expected outcomes for marketing, events, and web projects.
  • Conceptualize, plan, and execute all marketing projects/initiatives in line with the communication strategy of HBKU, and ensuring compliance with agreed timelines and budget. 
  • Develop, plan, and implement advertising campaigns to publicize and promote the university strategic activities and events, and establish methods for increasing participation. 
  • Oversee the final approval of content for all marketing-related projects and ensure that all publications are executed appropriately in line with HBKU messaging.
  • Develop and maintain HBKU’s e-channels (university website, e-marketing platform, etc.).
  • Other reasonable tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or Communications major, or related field & 8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience in marketing or a related field at similar higher education institutes, 3 of which at a supervisory level. 
  • Good understanding of marketing communication, branding, advertising strategies, plans, and frameworks.
  • Good conceptual & strategic thinking with ability to articulate and share vision and mission by inspiring others.
  • Experienced in dealing with creative agencies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to logically and persuasively outline and present thoughts, ideas, and specifications through oral and written communications.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English; excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports, manage communications, and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
