OFFER OF EMPLOYMENT
Development a multi-scale N2O greenhouse gas soil emission measurement system.
The National Institute of Research on Agriculture, Food and the Environment (INRAE) is a public research establishment that groups a workforce of 12,000 people, with more than 200 research units and 42 experimental units installed throughout France. INRAE is positioned among the world's leading research organisations specialised in the agricultural, food, plant and animal sciences. Its research is aimed at building solutions for multi-high-performance agriculture, quality foods and the sustainable management of resources and ecosystems.
YOUR MISSION AND ACTIVITIES
You will be received in the UMR Agroecology (UMR 1347).
The UMR Agroecology develops research into biotic interactions in agrosystems in order to design innovative and environmentally friendly crop systems (https://www6.dijon.inrae.fr/umragroecologie). You will enter the GESTAD centre in the framework of the MacGES research project: "Automated and connected measurements of soil N2O greenhouse gas emissions" which brings together researchers from INRAe and the Dijon Institute of Agriculture of the UMR Agroecology.
More particularly you will be responsible for:
The person recruited will be responsible for developing an automated and connected multiscale soil N2O emission measurement system that allows unhindered plant growth. This development will make use of the existing system (Vermue et al., 2013 - doi 10.1007/s13593-016-0381-y).
Your missions will be to:
- Formulate the specifications for this equipment by taking into account the UMR's current facilities, the need for changes expressed by the UMR's researchers and the state of the art of this type of equipment and equivalent prototypes.
- Develop a system by preparing the purchases required using the budget attributed to this project, by assembling the parts, and installing the automation required for their operation. These different items of equipment will be brought into operation.
Specific conditions of the activity:
- Working in an office and in-the-field at several sites of the university campus of Dijon.
