We are excited to announce an open PhD student position in Radek Marek's Research Group! If you're passionate about studying electronic structure and magnetic response by quantum chemistry, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Our research project focuses on investigating the relationship between molecular structure and NMR properties of heavy-element compounds. In particular, we explore relativistic and paramagnetic effects in NMR of transition-metal complexes and metallodrugs.
You will have access to state-of-the-art computational tools and NMR instruments at our local core facility, available for regular use. Plus, comprehensive training in computational and NMR techniques will be provided to the successful candidate. Our lab has recently secured Czech Science Foundation funding, so we're well-equipped to support your research.
We are seeking a creative, independent, and motivated individual with relevant experience in fields like theoretical or physical chemistry, chemical physics. If you have a background in quantum chemistry, computational chemistry, or NMR spectroscopy, we especially encourage you to apply.
