The Department of Plant Biochemistry, Albrecht-von-Haller-Institute for Plant Sciences at the Georg-August-University Göttingen is offering a

PhD Position in Molecular Biology (all genders welcome)
50 %, Pay grade TV-L 13

for initially two years, starting presumably in August 2020. The applicant will work on the function of lipid droplets in Arabidopsis.

The PhD position is available in the research group of Dr. Till Ischebeck at the Department of Plant Biochemistry of Prof. I. Feussner at the Georg-August-University Göttingen, Germany. The Ischebeck laboratory applies a combination of cell biological, biochemical and genetic studies to investigate the role of lipid droplets.

Applicants require a master or diploma in Biology, Biochemistry or related fields and should be highly motivated to work in plant sciences. Experience in the purification of organelles, plant genetics, molecular biology, and cell biology are desirable.
