Starting date 1. January 2024, full-time
The Neuropharmacology research group at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences is looking to hire a post-doctoral researcher experienced with whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology.
The Neuropharmacology group, led by Prof. Linda Simmler, investigates circuits and synaptic mechanisms of psychoactive substances, focusing on psychedelics. We aim to understand the effects of psychedelics on neuronal circuits and synapses, and link to behavior and disease models. The successful candidate will investigate synaptic plasticity induced by psilocybin in mice, applying whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology combined with optogenetics, immunofluorescence and behavioral testing.
