Postdoc of Higher Education Research

University of Copenhagen (UCPH) is seeking a researcher at the postdoc level to investigate research integration in teaching. The position is part of a university wide strategic initiative that aims at increasing research integration and making it visible to students in the university’s programmes. As part of the initiative, teachers at UCPH will develop and test new formats for research integration, and the postdoc is expected to conduct research on these development projects, and to convey results and inspiration for further development to teachers across the university.

The postdoc will be involved in development projects on research-integrating teaching and learning activities at study programmes at all the faculties of the university, and will conduct qualitative evaluations of the outcome. The postdoc is expected to publish research contributing to the national and international research on research-integrating and research-based teaching.

It is expected that research in the project will build on close collaboration with involved stakeholders (mainly teachers) as well as on the integration of development and research, as is known from, e.g., design-based research, action research and other participatory research traditions.

The postdoc’s duties will include research within higher education teaching and learning as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.

Terms of employment

The position will run for two years.

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

The starting salary is currently up to DKK 437.843 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 74.871). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
