Posting Summary |
The Yadavalli Lab at the Waksman Institute of Microbiology at Rutgers University, Piscataway, New Jersey is looking for a full-time Postdoctoral Associate. Research in Yadavalli lab broadly investigates mechanisms of the bacterial stress response. We use bacteria such as E. coli and Salmonella as model organisms to study the response and changes in their gene expression to different environmental signals. Specifically, we are focused on understanding the roles of small proteins and epitranscriptomic enzymes in bacterial stress response. More information on the lab can be found at: yadavallilab.org.
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated researcher with a strong background in bacteriology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and experience in relevant techniques including high-throughput genomics/proteomics and data analysis. An ideal candidate will be self-driven, independent, passionate about science, and will bring their own ideas to projects. Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills, a strong work ethic, and an ability to work well in a group are a must. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion, and strive to ensure a collegial, supportive, and productive environment in the lab to benefit not only an individual but the entire group.
