The postdoc will join Marek Filakovský’s group, working on Topological methods in Discrete Mathematics. Focus areas include Combinatorics, Graph Theory, and Constraint Satisfaction Problems (CSP) with an emphasis on topological approaches. Independent research and collaboration with other faculty members are encouraged. Networking with groups in Dresden, Leipzig, Prague, and Vienna is available.
Conduct independent and collaborative research in the thematic focus
Develop and refine mathematical methods
Contribute to publications, grant proposals, and joint projects
Present results at seminars and conferences, organize events
Help maintain a collegial research environment
Essential:
PhD in Mathematics or a closely related field (within past 8 years; exceptions possible)
Strong research record
Expertise in Discrete Mathematics, CSP, Graph Theory, Combinatorics, and Algebraic Topology
Programming skills welcome
Excellent English communication skills
Desirable:
