The Department of Mathematics at Radboud University is looking for an ambitious postdoctoral researcher to strengthen its Algebraic Topology group and contribute to an exciting research project in homotopy theory.
As a postdoctoral researcher, you will work with Dr. Magdalena Kedziorek and Dr. Steffen Sagave on a project titled “Symmetry on the interface of topology and higher algebra”, funded by the Dutch Research Council (NWO). You will be expected to communicate your findings through publications in peer-reviewed journals.
You will be encouraged to participate in the activities of the algebraic topology group and the mathematical community in general, including conferences, workshops, and seminars. There is no formal teaching load, though participation in teaching activities is advised (up to 10% of working time). You will mentor PhD candidates and have direct contact with undergraduate students.
We are looking for candidates who:
Hold a PhD degree in mathematics
Have interest and experience in at least one of the following areas:
Equivariant homotopy theory
Algebraic K-theory
Topological Hochschild homology
Infinity categories
Have a good command of the English language
Employment Contract: Temporary for two years, with the possibility of extension for one additional year
Salary: Scale 10, dependent on prior education and relevant work experience (based on a 38-hour working week)
