Posting Summary

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering seeks highly motivated candidates for a PostDoctoral Associate position in the area of Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC).

The successful candidate will join a dynamic research environment and contribute to advancing next-generation integrated communications and sensing technologies.

This is a grant-funded appointment contingent upon the availability of funds to support it.

The position reports to Prof. Athina Petropulu.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cutting-edge research in integrated sensing and communications systems.
• Develop novel theoretical frameworks, algorithms, and signal processing techniques for sensing and wireless communications.
• Publish research findings in leading journals and conference proceedings.
• Collaborate with faculty, students, and external research partners.
• Contribute to proposal development and the advancement of the department’s research initiatives.
• Mentor graduate and undergraduate students as appropriate.

Minimum Education and Experience

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Candidates should possess:

• A demonstrated record of high-quality research in sensing, wireless communications, signal processing, or related areas.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Evidence of scholarly productivity, including publications in top-tier journals and conferences.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to collaborative research projects.
• A strong motivation to pursue innovative research and push the boundaries of the state of the art.
