Job details

We are seeking a highly motivated candidate interested in developing and applying novel statistical methods in MSK’s interdisciplinary microbiome research program for a position as a postdoctoral fellow. The successful candidate will collaborate with a closely-knit microbiome research team consisting of physician-scientists, computational biologists, and wet-lab research technicians, fostering mutual supports across various domains. The postdoctoral fellow will be co-mentored by Drs. Teng Fei and Li-Xuan Qin for an initial period of two years, with the potential for extension into a third year.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A doctoral degree in biostatistics, statistics, computational biology, bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
  • Experiences in one or more of the following areas: high-dimensional data, compositional data, longitudinal/survival data, and mixture modeling.
  • Experiences in high performance computing system and/or statistical software development.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

This position is open immediately until filled. Prospective applicants are invited to submit their CV, along with a letter expressing their interest and addressed to Drs. Teng Fei and Li-Xuan Qin, as well as the names and contact information of three references. Submissions should be sent to:
