We use state-of-the-art technology in molecular biology (RNAseq, single cell RNAseq, ATACseq, ChIPseq, Cut&Run, RIME) with bioinformatics as well as cell culture techniques including iPS cells, flow cytometry, and transgenic mouse models. We provide a stimulating working atmosphere in an interdisciplinary group and seek excellent and highly motivated candidates to join our team. Our group is embedded in the DFG Collaborative Research Centre SFB 1425 “Heterocellular Nature of Cardiac Lesions” and provides opportunities for close interactions with other teams working on cardiac epigenetics, inflammation, or imaging.
Candidates should have an excellent degree in molecular medicine, molecular biology, pharmacology, pharmacy, biochemistry or other related fields and a strong scientific background. Experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques is required.
