Full-time, fixed-term for 12 months
Base salary: $82,057 – $136,048 (Academic Level A or B) + 17% superannuation

The Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS) is seeking a motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow or Research Fellow to join its world-class research team. This role is ideal for early career researchers with a strong interest in environmental analytical chemistry, offering an opportunity to contribute to impactful research at one of Australia’s leading universities.
Supported by multiple ARC-funded research projects led by A/Prof Sarit Kaserzon, the successful candidate will conduct independent and collaborative research in environmental analytical chemistry, with a strong focus on high-resolution mass spectrometry (HRMS).
You will:
Develop and implement analytical methods for targeted and suspect screening of environmental contaminants.
Work across human biomonitoring and environmental sample analyses.
Establish sensitive analytical workflows with robust quality control.
Interpret HRMS data, perform MS/MS experiments, and quantify or semi-quantify analytes in complex matrices.
Contribute to project design, grant development, and scientific publications.
Supervise and mentor students involved in analytical chemistry research.
This position is available at Academic Level A or B, depending on your experience and qualifications.
