Department of Radiological Sciences
Position: Postdoctoral in Cancer Immunology/Biology
The TILAB research team (https://faculty.sites.uci.edu/tilab/) at the Department of Radiological Sciences in the School of Medicine, UCI, is seeking a Postdoctoral candidate in cancer immunology/biology. The lab's focus is on image-guided interventions and combination therapies for cancer, utilizing cutting-edge MRI-guided interventional techniques in small animal studies. The successful candidates will report to PIs Dr. Nadine Abi-Jaoudeh, MD, and Zhuoli Zhang, MD & PhD.
Responsibilities: The successful candidates will join the research team at TILAB and contribute to ongoing projects in the field of cancer research, which PIs Dr. Nadine Abi-Jaoudeh, MD, and Zhuoli Zhang, MD & Ph.D. funded NIH and industrial awards. They are expected to work collaboratively with colleagues, conduct high-quality research, and participate actively in scientific discussions.
Minimum Qualifications:
A doctoral degree (eg Ph.D., M.D.) or the foreign equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Good molecular/cellular biology technical skills
Experience with small animal work especially small animals
Track record of first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals
Excellent scientific writing ability and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively and collegially.
Location: TILAB is located in the Irvine Campus of UCI, situated in the beautiful Orange County, renowned for its natural beauty, year-round pleasant climate, and stunning Pacific Ocean locales. The area offers excellent recreational opportunities, and cultural experiences can be easily accessed in nearby cities such as Los Angeles (40 minutes away) and San Diego (approximately 60 minutes away).
