The Centre for Population, Family and Health (CPFH) is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholarship Holder to contribute to cutting-edge research on life course trajectories of individuals and households with a migration background in Belgium. The work is part of ongoing FWO and iBOF-funded projects exploring demographic events using hazard models and microsimulation.
Key responsibilities include:
Developing advanced statistical and microsimulation models of life course trajectories.
Coordinating research activities, consortium meetings, and deliverables.
Contributing to grant proposals and dissemination of research outcomes nationally and internationally.
Engaging with multidisciplinary teams across demography, sociology, and biostatistics.
You should have:
A PhD (or near completion) in Demography, Population Studies, Statistics, or a related field.
Strong background in quantitative analysis, hazard modelling, and microsimulation.
Experience with large datasets and statistical software (e.g., Stata, R).
Familiarity with life course research and migration studies.
Excellent English communication skills; Dutch proficiency is an asset.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
A full-time postdoctoral scholarship for 1 year, renewable up to 3 years upon positive evaluation.
Monthly scholarship according to University of Antwerp’s Contract Research Staff scales (BAP).
