  • 12 month Fixed term (with possible extension up to 3 years) 
  • Full Time - 35 hrs/per week 
  • Level B $110,459 to $130,215 + 17% Super and Leave Loading 
  • Based at Kensington Campus- Sydney, Australia 

The Opportunity

The successful candidate would be required to support the development of a research agenda for the project. The Fellow will work with the research team in developing a robust plan and supporting the timely development of research papers and reports. Preference will be given to candidates who have completed doctoral studies in an area commensurate with one or more key foci of this project, have demonstrated proficiency in multivariate quantitative research methods and analysis, have experience in supporting the management of a large research program, and have demonstrated an ability to take the lead in writing research papers and reports. Further, the Fellow would be required to attend at least one of the research sites when the project was being undertaken.

Accountabilities

Specific accountabilities for this role include:

  • Conduct high-quality research relevant to teachers and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and education, both independently and as part of project teams.
  • Prepare and publish scholarly research outcomes in relevant high-quality peer-refereed journals, reports, and/or books, with activities including but not limited to: literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and theoretical positionings.
  • Undertake project management duties and maintain records consistent with ethical, legal, and professional requirements to progress research activities and organisational reporting obligations.
  • Present research outcomes at seminars, conferences, and industry meetings, and engage with external stakeholders, to contribute to public understanding and debate through media, industry and/or policy engagement.
  • An emerging track record of successful grants and a willingness to assist in writing submissions to grant bodies related to the research being carried out as a part of this position.
  • Actively seek and undertake associate supervision of Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students as appropriate and approved by the supervisor
  • Participate in regular meetings and undertake other research and administration activities as required.
