The Opportunity

The Philosophy Program has particular research strengths in Philosophy of Mind and Cognitive Sciences and Moral and Political Philosophy. The Program offers undergraduate subjects in a wide range of areas, including logic, metaphysics, history of philosophy, philosophy of mind and cognition, ethics, and political philosophy. The Cognition and Philosophy Lab is seeking a passionate Post-Doctoral Research Fellow to join their team. Assisting Professor Jakob Hohwy, you will be collaborating on projects in behavioural science, moral psychology and decision-making. 

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Conduct of research either as a member of a team or independently and the production of publications from that research
  • Guidance in the research effort of PhD students in their research area
  • Potential contribution to the teaching program within the field of research
  • Attendance at departmental and faculty meetings in relation to the field of research

The preferred applicant will have a Doctoral qualification in the relevant field, evidence of independent research demonstrated by refereed research publications and experience in supervision of honours or postgraduate students within the discipline.

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
