Your Role

The postdoctoral researcher will work under the supervision of Professor Sean Takats, who will be leading a team to develop a new software platform for historical research. Like Takats’s other research software projects Zotero (https://zotero.org) and Tropy (https://tropy.org), this new software will be a highly polished, user-friendly platform intended for wide public adoption.

Your Profile
  • PhD in Contemporary History, Digital History, Public History or a related field
  • Passionate about using technology to conduct historical research
  • Experience in coordinating (digital) history projects
  • Willingness to cooperate actively in a larger team
  • Experience with Python, Javascript, R, and/or data visualization will be advantageous
  • Experience with grant writing will be a plus
  • Good command of the following languages: English, French and/or German
